The four star Catalonia Duques de Bergara is an elegant hotel with beautiful Modernist décor and architecture that give it an historic and aristocratic atmosphere. The hotel was renovated in 1998 and is located next to Placa Catalunya and the Ramblas in Barcelona. The Modernist building was built in 1898 by the famous architect Emilio Salas y Cortes (a professor of Gaudi), with the entrance hall with its marble staircase leading to the first floor being preserved from the main building. On the first floor you will find impressive mahogany doors from Cuba and the original moulded ceiling and dome.
